This entirely depends on the type of procedure that you opt for and the amount of hair that is needed to be transplanted.
Following is a rough schedule of the post-op care that needs to be followed:
- 1-4 days: Healing period
- 5-9 days: It is healed enough that you can wash the scalp. Most of the soreness and swelling should be gone by now.
- 10-14 days: Follicles will go dormant and all new hair will fall out (this is expected) and eventually, you will grow new healthy hair.
- 3-6 months: The incisions have all healed and your healthy new hair begins to grow
- 10-12 months: Hair is regained and begins to grow naturall
As mentioned above, you will have to take care for around 10-12 days through the various stages of the post-op procedures.
